I was regularly found checking out back issues of Sky and Telescope magazine from the library. My dad helped pioneer satellite TV for the Apollo splash downs and was deployed several times on Navy carriers. We'd always be glued to NBC on the TV looking for the white General Electric Sat TV “bubble” on the deck of the aircraft carrier. My mom woke me up late one night in December 1969 to watch Neil Armstrong step on to the moon. Mom, I'm not sure I appreciated that at the time, but thanks. Dr. Bradstreet's book is not only astonishingly enlightening but it is also spiritually invigorating!
