Good size, lots of space to write things. Very colorful! Each main character gets their own month, and lots of cute pictures of everybody. Some of them are obviously clip art, but the backgrounds are all very nice. Some of the character's outfits are not up-to-date with current happenings in the show, but I imagine they start making calendars ahead of time to get them ready for sale, so this is understandable. Would be great for a fan of the show!

I'm so happy I found this!!!! And that it's half off!! It's big, and beautiful! My pens don't seem to bleed through like they do on some thinner calendars. It has art at the bottom of the calendar pages too, as well as the main pictures. I'd rather have more of the crystal gems than the one of Gregg and cute/funny/sweet ones way more than ones of them in attack mode, but I still love it!

I ordered this to help me get ready for the new year. I used to always forget about things like this and get a calendar a few weeks into the new year. I love the show and this is a great way to keep track of the year. Art changes from location pieces to characters, and is enjoyable. Irony at its highest is that the birthstone for the month of January is Garnet, but the first image of the year is Steven. ;)

This is one of the best translations and commentaries of the Gita that I have read. I am a practitioner of Bhakti yoga coming from the line of Lord Caitanya/Gaudiya Vashnavism as is the translator/commentator of this version of the Gita. There are many great versions of the Gita coming the Gaudiya line and this one is right up there. The author has studied with some of the greatest bhakti yoga masters and is an extremely learned scholar and author and this version of the Gita proves it. The book is also really well made and extremely attractive.

This read of the Gita is just great, start reading and find out how great it is.

I have the hardcover and now the kindle edition. Really cool ancient text with commentary, really stepped up my yoga practice to a deeper level.

After having read several translations of the Indian Sacred Literature I can say without doubt that this is one of the best editions available in the English Language today. The translation is very clear and the commentaries reveals that the author is deeply rooted in the Gaudiya Vedanta Tradition, a lineage that goes back to the original speaker of the holy treatise about spiritual life. The presentation is also 5 stars: excellent quality paper, wonderful hardbound, gold stamping. The price does not cover the real value of such an edition. One more thing: the commentaries are profound but short, and this is very important because the reader will get much more from it and if is interested in the topics presented will investigate other treatises and books available on the subject matter. I will recommend the book to any person interested in topics such as spirituality, self-help, mysticism, devotion, monotheism, eastern religions, God, avatars, and yoga. You will not be disappointed by the chance of reading this edition of the Bhagavad Gita. As graduate of Masters in Theology I recommend the reading of this book.

A wonderfully written book about a mother's love and devotion to her son as well as a fierce determination to provide her son and family with as much 'normalcy' in life as possible despite a very challenging medical condition. I laughed, I cried... I fell in love with Michael and his family.

This book was excellent. I have epilepsy myself and when I read it, it brought back memories of what happend to me when I was younger. I applaud the parents for showing the support they did for their children!

This book made me feel not so "alone" as I struggle with my own daughters epilepsy which cannot be controlled. I read it and sobbed as I felt like it was my own story. I related so much that I wish that I could sit and have coffee with the author, as I feel like I have so much in common with her. If you have a child suffering with intractible seizures.....this is a must read! I felt better knowing that I am not the only Mom feeling these things and having the same concerns and worries for my daughters future. This is actually the second time that I have purchased this book, as I gave my first copy to a friend whom has a daughter that was just diagnosed. I quickly had to order another copy. There are certain chapters that I have read over and over as the authors attitude is so great and it reminds me that tomorrow is a new day.

Last night, I sat down and read Missing Michael. The book did not leave my hands until I read the last page. For those that were a part of the Mary Lou and Michael's village, this book is a testament that it takes a lot of people to be a safety net for those that we love and respect. I applaud Mary Lou, Michael,Meaghan and Barry for not shutting out the village. For allowing those near and afar to help when and where needed. For taking the chance to allow others see the vulnerablity, yet the dignity that Micheal possessed (even when He did not always realize it). For me, the best part of the book shares that there are people within our village that do understand and care outnumber by far those that don't. This sharing is a primer to those who are friends, family, co-workers, and care professionals of those with Seizure Disorders. Mary Lou thank you - I have a better understanding because of your words.I look forward to the sequel where we get to see what Michael's mark on this world is realized.

Missing Michael is written through the eyes of a loving mother whose family absolutely refuses to give up in its dedication to help a family loved one who struggles with epilepsy. It is both heart-warming and inspirational and will undoubtedly help others understand the importance of never giving up no matter what the challenge. As a person who struggled with epilepsy for more than three decades before the disorder was removed from my life through surgery Dec. 6, 1994 at Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla, Calif., the book helped me understand even more the importance of my family being at my side for so many years both before and after my surgery. It is a book that is very difficult to put down once you've started reading it and drives home the importance of holding together the family structure at all times. The Connolly family should be lauded for its undying effort to help Michael and Mary Lou Connolly deserves a big pat on the back for a wonderfully-written book.

If you read the series just re-read it to get better insight. This doesn't tall me much I didn't already know.

To be touted under the moniker of "The Remarkable Comics Commentary," this e-book is hardly remarkable. What the publication stacks up to be is a collection of reviews--one for every issue of Johnathan Hickman's stellar run on Fantastic Four and FF. Each review is is largely summary and the "commentary" is rather lacking. I found most of the reviews to be very similar to other reviews I have read on Comic Book Resources' Web site.It would appear that the book was hastily compiled with many typos and grammatical errors and little critical attention paid to the actual subject matter other than summaries of it. A run of Hickman's caliber is deserving of a great deal more critical attention, and, to put it quite plainly, a critic with more knowledge about studying and analyzing the comic book medium. I would most definitely not recommend this book.

While it doesn't provide a scholarly analysis, it is a very complete description of Jonathan Hickman's work on the Fantastic Four, especially the links between his own issues as well as the links with issues outside his run. As Hickman stands on the shoulders of many predecessors this book is very helpful in providing background for the run since not everyone may be familiar with the 50 year history of the title.

Not bad, but not really breaking any new ground. Just a retelling of Hickman's run. A c plus or b minus grade.
